In Memoriam



It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our blue roan mare I'm JFK's Blue Girl. The following article appeared in the TWHBEA "Voice" Magazine:

 A true ambassador of the breed, “Blue” touched the hearts of everyone she met. She passed away on January 16^th at age 10 after a sudden colic. She was sired by the great JFK and was out of Delight Prowler. She was owned and loved by Richard and Kristi Allen of Ansteorra Stables and shown by youth rider Julia Swyden to blues in English Country Pleasure, Trail Pleasure, Favorite Gait and Speed Racking classes in statewide competition. She also served as a steady mount for beginning riders, to the point of checking with her handler before executing the commands of very young children. She was ridden on the trail and shown on the rail with equal style and grace. At her death, she was three and a half months in foal to the Allen’s speed stallion, Tarzan’s Sixth Sense, the first, and sadly only, breeding of this pair.

Our beautiful Blue Girl, you brightened our days for far too short a time. You will be the standard by which our future horses are judged, and you will be sorely missed by everyone who knew you.
